Mineral Vessels II

This series reinterprets the monstrance as a display device. A constructed ceramic body carries an unaltered mineral: the lower element works as support, the upper one remains autonomous.

The minerals (clear quartz, amethyst, desert rose) are presented without modification; their presence is material, not symbolic. The ceramic bodies are formed in red clay with engobes, mineral powders and sand, and keep the irregularities and traces of the process.

Each piece is an individual unit within the series.
