On December 3, 2023, Made in Fornace® was presented at the Grand Hotel et de Milan through a dialogue on material, process, and design. Elena Pelosi and Luca Lanzoni shared the vision behind the project—where ceramic research moves beyond traditional craftsmanship into collectible design.

Set within the historic context of Fornace Curti, the project reflects an ongoing exploration of form, pattern, and material, bridging heritage with contemporary expression.

Inspirations and Techniques

Luca Lanzoni shared his creative process, describing how a simple square motif becomes the foundation for diverse patterns and geometries in Made in Fornace objects. “It creates different patterns, geometries, geographies in which everyone reads what they want,” he explained.

Elena Pelosi, focusing on materiality and tactility, aims to transcend traditional craftsmanship. Her goal is to create pieces that are “a very strong concept, to go beyond pure craftsmanship and cross over into collectible design.”
