“It is said that time “flows,” moving like a slow river, willingly or unwillingly, carrying us along and eventually washing us over its banks as he continues his journey. Time passes, moving on. Or does it?”

Selected works by Elena Pelosi, developed as part of the Made in Fornace® project with Luca Lanzoni, were presented at Vasiliki Kouzina in a temporary exhibition dedicated to the concept of time. The sculptural vessels, conceived as continuously evolving forms, were created using clays from Santorini, establishing a direct connection between material, place, and narrative.

The exhibition brought together a selection of artists exploring ceramic practice as a medium of memory and storytelling. Rooted in one of the oldest human crafts, each work reflects a personal interpretation of time, fluid, fragmented, and subjective, bridging universal rhythms with individual perception.

Hosted within the space of Vasiliki Kouzina from June to September 2022, the project transformed the restaurant into a site of encounter between art, material, and lived experience.
