SEPT 2025
Elements that explore the confines between industrial and artisanal production, embracing the creative potential of materials
Capri TABLES COLLECTION2025
Good things come in small packages — and in the case of contemporary sculptural side tables, the saying couldn’t be more fitting. Born from open, exploratory creative and production processes, these pieces follow a more refined approach to design, particularly in terms of materials, becoming true aesthetic manifestos. They pave the way for new techniques that challenge our perception of matter itself. Often made from transformed scrap material, the substance is molded like wax or treated like fabric, establishing unconventional tactile and visual interactions. The result is irregular surfaces and unique textures where even the reflection of light plays an active role. In this fusion of function and poetry, emotional connections are sparked between object and user. As designer Christophe Delcourt puts it, “A piece of furniture is, above all, an object of seduction. We develop a daily relationship with it, as it helps define our environment just like architecture or a work of art… The focus lies in exploring the link between practices destined to coexist in perfect harmony, without one overshadowing the other.”bracciando il potenziale creativo dei materiali.
In the Capri collection by Elena Pelosi for Pedretti Home, a matching striped motif applied to marble evokes the classic striped awnings of summer landscapes. The contrast between the rectangular or square tabletop and the curved legs creates a dialogue of opposing lines. An innovative surface treatment alternates satin and polished stripes on the same marble piece, generating a captivating interplay of finishes. This contrast not only alters the visual perception of the material but also invites tactile interaction. The brand embraces often overlooked marbles, reinterpreting them as desirable and contemporary elements.
