HABITARE: An Olfactory Object for the Home

Habitare is a home fragrance born from the encounter between Elena Pelosi, designer and art director, and 1981 LAB. The amber glass bottle, endlessly refillable, contains a warm and layered fragrance with notes of wood and incense, while the hand-shaped ceramic diffuser cap is a work of art. Each piece is unique and individually numbered (250 pieces available), completed by a brass ring that seals the artistic gesture.

Conceived through the collaboration between Elena Pelosi and 1981 Lab, HABITARE is an olfactory experience that redefines scent as a spatial experience. An invitation to inhabit the environment as an extension of the self, it unfolds as a warm, layered composition structured around notes of wood and incense, designed to accompany interiors with quiet intensity and enveloping grace. At the center of the ritual lies the hand-shaped ceramic cap. With a single drop of essence, the material absorbs, releases, and breathes, allowing the fragrance to diffuse slowly, revealing an aroma that is intimate, deep, and enduring. Each nuance, warmth, depth, intensity enters into a subtle dialogue with walls, textiles, and light, dissolving into the architecture of the room. The fragrance becomes part of the space itself, inseparable from the act of living within it.

Each piece is crafted and finished by hand, resulting in 250 unique pieces of design.
