Bulgari Serpenti frames for Harper's Bazaar: Serpenti necklace shaped into two loops

In collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar, artist Elena Pelosi interpreted Bvlgari’s Serpenti at Fornace Curti in Milan, one of the oldest kilns in the world. The result is a series of frames in reclaimed clay, limited to 8 numbered pieces.

The work comes from her research on discarded clays. Bodies of different consistency and colour are combined into slabs with streaked veining, a mineral surface close to marble. Like the Ouroboros behind Serpenti Infinito, the veins run into one another in a continuous cycle of transformation, and no two pieces are alike.

Published by Harper’s Bazaar in Japan, Korea, France, India, the Middle East, the US and Italy, January–February 2025.
