Six elements. Multiple arrangements.

Kurinuki is a modular coffee table designed by Elena Pelosi and produced by Cipriani Design. Six independent elements create an asymmetric composition that can be opened, rotated and reassembled around the way a room is used.

The tops are made from fragments of earthenware and brick mixed with lime and sand. Relief, texture and variations in colour retain the traces of the material and its making. The updated design pairs these surfaces with flat metal plate bases, extending the geometry beneath the tabletop.

Together, the elements form one sculptural table between two sofas. Separated, they become two groups, an extended sequence or individual surfaces within the living room. A tangram-inspired system in which the same pieces establish different relationships with the space.

Kurinuki was first presented at Milano Design Week 2023 within Maison de la Terre for Marie Claire Maison.
