A slower beginning to Milano Art Week and Milano Design Week: breakfast, walking conversations, handmade collectible design and moments of exchange inside the historic ecosystem of Fornace Curti.
Start the day before the noise begins. A reflective contrast to the pace of Design Week — a shared table, morning light, matter and nature, approached with greater attention.
A PLATFORM FOR MATERIAL CULTURE & EXCHANGE
Developed within the Made in Fornace® platform, the project stems from ongoing research into material culture, time, observation and community. Set within an active courtyard of ateliers, it unfolds as a living ecosystem where contemporary design meets continuity of craftsmanship.
A COLLECTIVE DESIGN RITUAL
More than a traditional exhibition, Mornings Made in Fornace acts as a prelude to the day. Breakfasts in Fornace, Walking Conversations in Fornace and Gatherings in Fornace invite visitors to pause, observe and engage with materials and ideas in a more intimate way.
THE MANIFESTO
We believe in matter. In time. In responsibility. In excellence that lasts. In response to the intensity of Milan Design Week, the mornings offer clarity and calm. Breakfast becomes part of the curatorial language: a refined selection of seasonal and local products conceived as a gesture of care.
PERIPATETIC CONVERSATIONS
Inspired by the ancient greek Peripatetic tradition, these conversations unfold while walking through the courtyard and ateliers. Rather than asking guests to sit and listen, the format invites them to move, observe and think together around materials, process, sustainability and design culture.
