CLIENT: Il Nodo Onlus
WHEN: 2024
WHERE: Cambodia
COLLAB: Paola Lenti

Plissé is a sculptural necklace designed by Elena Pelosi for Il Nodo Onlus: a contemporary reading of the Spanish ruff, worn as a removable collar.

It is made by young Cambodian students guided by master artisans, using leftover cords from Paola Lenti originally developed for outdoor design. Each fold recalls the pleated collars once worn as a sign of authority, here softened and reclaimed by new hands and new stories.

“We fold the past into the future, giving shape to dignity and opportunity.”
