For Marie Claire Maison, Elena Pelosi Studio conceived and designed Maison de la Terre, an installation for Milano Design Week 2023.

“The earth does not belong to man, it’s the man who belongs to the earth.” Like the tepee, the house becomes a place of shelter: a soft domestic space of undefined, intimate or shared functions, where art, design, new technologies and nature overlap in a Mediterranean way of living updated by new awareness.

“When we take something away from the earth, we also have to give it something back.” The CO₂ produced over the installation’s life cycle is calculated and offset by planting hornbeam, ash and silver fir trees with Oasi Zegna.
